Im afraid we have a very disgruntled contractor. It is hard for a builder who is extremely good at building homes to deal with some of the crazy obstacles surfacing in our house. The stairwell is now open so hopefully his worst is over! Hang in there Kent!

Progress for today.  We are making the stairs open to the window above.  He hadn't gotten the floor out yet in the pic but its is out now.  The hole in ceiling is what he cut out to patch.  Previous owners apparently let tub overflow.  No other damage or leaks thankfully!

On August 23 (my birthday) we got the news our offer had been accepted for a house.  After 2+ years of obsessive searching, endless house viewings, and several rejections this is what we bought.  No, not our dream home for obvious reasons, but we both saw a lot of potential.  Our poor real estate agent Holly  Johnston showed us over 20 houses within a 30 mile radius of Bowling Green.  Thank you Holly for all your work!  Shortly after we closed we learned she is pursuing a career change...hopefully not a result of obnoxious clients like us:)  Kent Dixon will be our contractor/hero in this process.  He is not crazy about our house but thankfully willing to help us!!
We thought it would be fun for our family and friends to follow us on this somewhat crazy and very dirty adventure.  Hope you enjoy our transformation!:)

Yes... it was very BAD!
